ZTE 3G modem in Linux

The ZTE MF110 works rights away on a Debian Sid box, needing very little configuration, no reboot or service restarting, a nice surprise from a hardware I have never seen before, and knew little about.
Install modemmanager and usb-modeswitch with aptitude. Connect your modem into USB and go to network manager -> new mobile broadband connection; in the window that appears select the default stuf: Romania and RDS and you’re done. I’m using it right now, and it took much longer to write this blog post than to make the connection work. I have 1-2 mbit/s download and some 0.3 mbit/s upload, but unfortunately a hight latency.
